Sustainability and Recycling
Welcome to the Delmaine Sustainability and Recycling page. Here you will find information on what we are doing to reduce our environmental footprint through actions in our manufacturing, supply and packaging areas.
You will also find information on how to recycle our packaging types as they currently are treated within the recycling system. Check back when you can as these may change over time.

Some actions being undertaken to help reduce our footprint;
-
Reducing packaging sizes and carton sizes to reduce excess materials consumption.
-
Improving traceability of products and raw materials to reduce waste.
-
Improving manufacturing systems to reduce material, water and power consumption.
-
Improving systems and processes to reduce possibilities of wasteful errors and having to remake things.
-
Using natural colours, flavours and preservatives so to reduce reliance on chemicals and manufactured ingredients.
- Consolidation of freight whenever possible to reduce trips when moving goods around.
While we work as hard as possible to make our products more environmentally friendly we are constrained by the importance of maintaining food safety and shelf life, so we are not always able to use the most environmentally suitable solution.
